Service Description: A Hillshade is a greyscale 3D representation of the terrain, with the sun’s relative position (azimuth) taken into account for shading the image. Hillshades are a qualitative method for visualizing topography and do not provide absolute elevation values. This Hillshade was created using a Digital Surface Model from first return LiDAR data, instead of bare earth data, and was created using a multidirectional method, which combines light from multiple sources/directions. This method is advantageous because it displays more detail than a traditional hillshade. Provided in New Brunswick Stereographic Double Projection with CGVD2013 vertical datum. Produced in 2020, from LiDAR data acquired between 2015-2018.
