How to Interpret Your Results
This test helps identify why some computers may have difficulty loading the GeoNB Map Viewer (Experience Builder). Use the guide below to understand your result:
- 🟢 Excellent (40+ FPS) — Hardware-accelerated WebGL 2.0 is active and should perform well.
- 🟡 Moderate (20–39 FPS) — Performance may be slow. Update your browser and graphics drivers.
- 🔴 Poor (<20 FPS) — The Experience Builder viewer may freeze or fail. Use the GeoNB Map Viewer Lite.
- ⚠️ WebGL 2.0 not supported — Only WebGL 1.0 is available; some layers may not display correctly. Use the GeoNB Map Viewer Lite.
- ⚠️ Outdated DirectX (Direct3D9 / Shader Model 3.0) — Very old GPU/driver path. Update drivers or try Edge/Firefox. Use the GeoNB Map Viewer Lite if issues continue.
- ⚠️ DirectX 10 (Shader Model 4.0) — GPU too old for WebGL 2.0 even if FPS is high. Use the GeoNB Map Viewer Lite.
- ⚠️ Software rendering (SwiftShader/LLVMpipe) — GPU acceleration disabled; enable hardware acceleration or update drivers. Use the GeoNB Map Viewer Lite for best results.
- ❌ WebGL not supported — Your browser or GPU cannot run WebGL. Use the GeoNB Map Viewer Lite.
Tips:
- Update your browser (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox recommended)
- Ensure hardware acceleration is enabled in browser settings
- Install the latest graphics driver from your computer or GPU manufacturer
Alternative Viewer:
If your computer continues to show warnings or poor performance, use the GeoNB Map Viewer Lite, which does not rely on WebGL and runs well on older hardware.
